I Get Consistent Hair Trims

This is so important when it comes to healthy hair. I used to think that I didn’t need to follow “that rule” of getting consistent hair trims, but now I realize how much of a difference it makes (especially when growing out your hair). My hair has always grown pretty fast, so I didn’t see how getting my hair frequently trimmed would help me. Well, over time I noticed that I would always end up wanting to cut it after I grew it out. That’s because my hair was damaged, and it just didn’t feel healthy. Now that I am getting tiny trims as I go, I am LOVING my long hair. Taking the SugarBearHair vitamins also helps my hair keep growing fast while I get the trims. My hair is long AND healthy, and that is such an important combination. 🙂

I Don’t Wash My Hair Every Day

This might be hard to think about if you are used to washing your hair every single day, but it really makes a difference! I used to wash mine every day when I worked in Human Resources, and I never thought about skipping a day or two. Now that I work from home as a blogger, I have given it a try and can easily tell how happy my hair is when I wait to wash it. I usually try to wash it every other day (sometimes I wait longer than that…mom life). If you feel like your hair gets oily (like I do), try to at least skip one day. Every time you wash your hair, the shampoo strips your hair of its natural oils. I make sure to use a good, deep hair conditioner every time I take a shower. After using conditioner, I always comb it through my hair and let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing it out. I Don’t Use Heating Tools Every Day

I’ve heard this tip a lot, and it makes a lot of sense. Heat can be so damaging to your hair, so it’s best to avoid it as much as possible (even if you use a heat protectant spray). I use a curling wand most of the time, and I only use it when I feel like I need to look extra nice or when I need pictures for the blog or social media. I also blow dry my hair every time after my shower, but that’s not too much since I don’t wash my hair every day. There are so many things that can cause damage to your hair, so that is why I really appreciate my SugarBearHair vitamins. Like I said before, I believe that healthy hair starts from within. You can do all you want to protect your hair, but a good hair vitamin goes a long way. 🙂

I Wear My Hair in a Braid Alot

This one may sound funny, but it works for me! I used to throw my hair in a messy bun whenever I was at home and didn’t have anything going on. I remember the damage that would cause to my hair and the hair loss that came from it. Now I just put my hair in an easy braid. I also put my hair in a braid every night after I shower and go to bed. My hair is so much easier to style the next day now too! The braid keeps your hair out of your face, and it also holds it together in a way that isn’t damaging. This is just a favorite tip of mine, because I love wearing a braid! It is such an easy, cute look!
