Happy almost Friday! I love this leopard sweater so much (shared in flatlay in my previous post), so I want to show all of you how cute it looks when wearing it! It is under $20, and there is a BOGO 50% sale on sweaters right now! I think that leopard print can be such a fun neutral, and it adds that perfect pop to any outfit. I’m also going to talk about why this is my favorite time of year. 🙂

I wore this darling, leopard sweater with my jeggings, over the knee boots, and saddle crossbody purse. I sized up with the sweater, and I got a Medium (usually a Small). So if you like a looser fit like I do, I would size up. The fit is a bit tighter. I absolutely love the fit in the size I got. 🙂 Also, how cute are these over the knee boots?!

I just got these OTK boots, and the color is so pretty. They are called “gray” on the website, but it’s like a mix of dark grey with a bit of brown. They’re also on sale for $31.99 right now!

Now I get to add even more fun for Fall with this beautiful, burgundy jacket! It’s under $40 and such a great staple for your wardrobe. Ashton really liked it when he saw me wear it for Kansas City Fashion Week, so it’s Husband approved! 🙂

Now I’m going to share what I love about this time of year, and it’s not just my birthday. 😉 I feel like there are so many hidden stresses that we keep tucked away, and I just want to send some positive thoughts your way.

Why I Love This Time of Year

We Get a Mental Vacation

Now I know that there are always things going through our minds, but I feel like this time of year gives us so many other things to think about. We have all of the holidays around each other – Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas! For once, maybe we are thinking about some more lighthearted topics like what scary movie we are going to watch next, what we are going to eat at Thanksgiving, or that Christmas present we can’t wait to get someone. Then there are the obvious mood lifters like the crisp Fall air, beautiful Fall leaves, pumpkin everything (eventually nutmeg and eggnog), apple cider, and cold days spent inside cuddled under a blanket.

We Have Things to Look Forward to

There are always things that come up throughout the year that I’m excited about, but this time of year is always a guaranteed time where I have things to look forward to. There is just such a peace that I get at this time of year. I genuinely look forward to all of the little things like baking Halloween cookies, planning out Halloween and Christmas movie schedules, going to fun holiday activities, and spending time with family.

We are Reminded of What’s Important

Life can get so busy, and the holidays can force us to stop for a moment and appreciate what we should be all along. If you have a lot going on in your life, stop to ask yourself what you have to be grateful for. Ask yourself how important what you are getting upset about really is. When it comes down to it, you know what’s truly important. First, there’s always God. Even when you feel like you have nothing, you have God. Then there’s the husband/partner sitting next to you watching that special movie you love who sneaks in that foot rub. There’s your little child you have crawling all over you (and you think you can’t stand it), but then you remember how fast time flies, and he/she won’t be doing that much longer. Then you squeeze them so tight and don’t let go. There are the family members and true friends who truly understand you, and you don’t know what you would do without them.

I realize that the holidays might actually really be a stressful time for some of you. They have been for me in the past. Don’t let it be. Don’t let your joy be stolen by things that don’t matter. Plan some fun things right now or don’t. Do what is best for you and your loved ones. Enjoy this time of year.

I love all of you guys, and I just wanted to share some positive thoughts about my favorite time of year. 🙂 Now I will circle back and remind you how cute that leopard sweater is. 😉 You can shop my whole look below:
